Welcome to the Invoice Command Blog
Practical guides on invoicing, purchase orders, sales orders, and the small business finance work that pays the bills — from the team that ships the free Invoice Command tools.
This is a new home for practical writing on the operational side of running a small business — invoicing, purchase orders, sales orders, and the financial paperwork in between.
What you'll find here
The blog covers three tracks:
- Invoicing — how to send a clean invoice, what to do when clients don't pay, and the patterns that get you paid faster.
- Purchase orders — when you need a PO, how to write one, and the workflows that keep your vendor relationships clean.
- Sales orders — for businesses that confirm orders before fulfillment, and how SOs fit alongside invoices and POs.
Every post links back to the free template library and the PO templates so you can put what you read into practice without paying for software.
Why we write this
Invoice Command exists because small businesses shouldn't pay $30/month just to send a clean invoice. The blog exists for the same reason: the practical knowledge of how to handle billing, procurement, and order management is locked in expensive courses and procurement consultancies. We're putting it in front of a search box for free.
More posts coming. In the meantime, the PO template hub and invoice template library are good places to start.
