Spray tan artists send estimates mostly for events: weddings, proms, pageants, photo shoots, and corporate parties. Clients compare per-person price, travel fees, how many people you can handle in a set time, and whether solutions or touch-ups are included. A clear quote helps them plan their budget and your schedule.
When to use estimates: Use estimates to provide project quotes and get client approval before starting work. Once approved, convert your estimate to an invoice with one click to collect payment.

Your time and solution depend on the number of guests. State what the quote covers and the price for additional people.
Spray tans take about 15 to 30 minutes per person including dry time, so a time window determines how many people you can service.
You need a private space, a bathroom or changing area, power, and sometimes a tent. Note any extra setup or tent fees.
Rapid, organic, or custom blends cost more. List what is included in the base price so upgrades do not cause disputes.
Brides often want a trial to test color. State whether the trial is separate and how much it costs.
Distance and parking affect cost. Put these in the quote so they do not appear as a surprise on the final invoice.
Dates book up around prom and wedding season, so the quote should say how long it holds and what is required to confirm.

Typical US ranges. Rates vary by region, experience, and job size.
A per-person rate with a minimum total, such as five people or $250, covers your travel and setup time for small groups while staying simple for larger ones.
Offer standard, rapid, and organic options with clear prices. Clients tend to choose a middle tier when they can see the choices side by side.
Group events run late. Include a note that late guests may lose their slot or be charged, and price your minimum with a buffer in mind.
For regulars or brides, bundle a trial, event-day tan, and one touch-up at a slightly lower combined price. It increases the total booking and gives the client a reason to commit.
Most artists do, since the time and solution cost the same as a regular session. Some credit the trial fee toward the event booking if the client confirms.
Seven to 14 days is common for events, shorter in busy seasons. State an expiry date on the quote and make clear the date is not held until the deposit is paid.
Include a line in the quote that the price is based on the stated headcount and that additions or removals are billed per person. Ask for the final count a few days before the event.
Many artists add a rush or same-day fee of $10 to $25 for bookings with less than 24 hours notice, especially if you have to rearrange your schedule or travel on short notice.
